Elzbeta Karaś-Krasztel, the graduate of the Lublin musical lyceum in a class of professor Mieczysław Dawidowicz, completed piano education in Frederic Chopin Musical Academy in Warsaw in a class of a grand piano of professor Regina Smendzianka. After getting the diploma she continued education at Wiktor Mierżanow (professor of the Moscow Conservatory) and at István Lantos (professor of Musical Academy in Budapest). Frequently awarded with scholarship of Frederic Chopin Society in Warsaw.

She received the I award at the Polish Festival of Young Musicians in Gdansk. Has the diplomas and honors received at competitions in Athens, Moscow and Warsaw. Elżbieta Karaś-Krasztel performed in many countries of Europe, also in Canada and Australia. As the soloist cooperated with the Polish Chamber Orchestra and orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia. She made numerous recordings for Polish Radio and TV, also made a disk recording with music of V. A. Mozart, F. Chopin and unknown Polish composers for APERTO and DUX. She is known for her interpretations of Mozart works. Achieved great success, performing on the stage of the Berlin Philharmonic hall with a grand piano Concert of Es-dur, KV 482, of this composer under a conductor’s baton of Jerzy Maksimyuk. After her performance of Mozart works with orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia in Germany one of reviewers wrote: ”We cannot imagine better expression of this music greatness”.
The pianist pays much attention to the Polish music. Except of the rich repertoire of Chopin she plays works of I.J. Paderewski, J. Zarębski and A. Malawski.

Elżbieta Karaś-Krasztel cooperates with the quartet, “Prima Vista”, executing chamber music, including Y. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart and F. Chopin’s concerts.

The artist holds a grand piano class at the Frederic Chopin Musical University in Warsaw and in Academy of Art in Szczecin.

For the artistic and teaching activity she was many times awarded including the Individual Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, a medal For Merits to the Polish Culture, and also the medal Gloria Artis.
