Katarzyna Glensk

Katarzyna Glensk is a one of Polish most versatile and imaginative pianist specializing in solo and chamber music.

In 2018 together with violinist Joanna Okoń she made her debut at the Carnegie Hall, and two years later in Shanghay, China.

Katarzyna Glensk graduated with high distinction from the Frederic Chopin Academy in Warsaw in the class of prof. Bronisława Kawalla and chamber music in the class of prof. Maja Nosowska. Katarzyna contiued education in postgraduated sudies with prof. Jan Ekier and prof. Bronisława Kawalla. During that time she took part in masterclases with prof. Andrzej Jasiński and prof. Tomasz Herbut.

She awarded a full scholarship for postgraduate studies at Trinity College of Music in London in 2001, where she studied with Douglas Finch and Richard Markson. During that time Katarzyna has attended number of masterclases led by many distinguished performers: Yonty Solomon, Gerald Robbins and George Hadjinikos.

The artist has won awards at following competitions: 1st prize at VIII International L. Janaček Competition in Brno,1st prize at L. Smith Duo Prize in London – both with Evva Mizerska, 1st prize at The Chopin Prize in London, and 2nd prize at E. Schumann Duo Prize for Lieder in London.

She collaborated with Warsaw Philharmonic and recently she regulary plays Chopin recitals in Warsaw. Katarzyna has guested in many Europen Countires and especially in Great Britain where she performed at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. Alfege Church, Greenwich Chapell in London and St. Edmund’s Hall in Oxford.
