She was born in 1988 in Slonim in Grodno District (Belarus). At the age of 8 she started playing the piano under the direction of Natalia Polishchuk. Next, she continued learning under the direction of Zofia Antes at the Fryderyk Chopin Secondary School of Music in Warsaw. In 2014 she completed studies with honour in Professor Alicja Paleta-Bugaj’s class at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She improved her skills under the direction of teachers, such as Olivier Gardon, Marie-France Giret, Joanna Ławrynowicz, Krystyna Makowska-Ławrynowicz, Konrad Skolarski, Paweł Skrzypek, Alexey Sokolov, Czesław Stańczyk, Gottlieb Wallisch.
She has performed in numerous cities of Poland, also in Lithuania, Belarus, Russia, Austria, Germany, France. She has given a series of concerts in Warsaw: in the Concert Hall of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (2014), the Ballroom of the Palace on the Isle (2012), the Witold Lutosłwski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio (2009), Grand Hall of Royal Castle (2006) and the Concert Hall of the Fryderyk Chopin Society (2004). Katarzyna Hushta is interested especially in music of J.S. Bach, L. van Beethoven, F. Chopin, A. Scriabine and S. Rachmaninov. She is now a piano teacher at the Fryderyk Chopin Secondary School of Music in Warsaw.
